Benefits Of Chamber Membership

  • Your Chamber membership identifies you as a builder and supporter of your community. Chamber membership “legitimizes” your business to other business and consumers. The Chamber provides a respected contact for inquiries about your business.
  • The Chamber’s new redesigned website ( gives your company world wide exposure. Each member is listed by category with their own page consisting of a picture and paragraph with a link to their website. We average over 1,000 visitors per day on this interactive site which is monitored and updated continuously.
  • Member businesses may purchase a “banner” ad on the web site for $75 per quarter.
  • Chamber is now has a QR code for quick access to our web site. This code is on Chamber membership decals and will be used in media publications.
  • We are the first Chamber in the region to develop an App for droid and smart phone users. This technology enables visitors and residents to access member information from their smart phones. All members are listed. You may be a “Featured” member for $50 per year or a sponsor for $500 per year.
  • As a Chamber member, you may distribute literature, brochures, or flyers about your business at the Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center free of charge. The Visitor Center greets and directs over 30,000 visitors each year. Our 43 volunteers offer their knowledge not only to Visitors but to their contacts throughout the community.
  • Your business is listed (alphabetically and by category) in our Visitor Guide Book/Membership Directory. Members may also purchase ad space. We redesign and print 12,000 copies of this magazine quality, 64 page, guide and 10,000 maps annually. Visitors and people looking to relocate request the guide thru our website – “Direct marketing at its best.” The Guide is also distributed to Visitor Center guests (including many local residences), chamber members, and at a number of Visitor Centers in the region. The guide is a valuable resource tool for local services, products, and information.
  • Establish new business contacts through interaction with other members and volunteers. Different members host “Business After Hours” networking events each year from May – October. These informal, fun, get-togethers are a great way to make important contacts for your business. It is an established fact that Members Buy From Members. Current member enrollment is 366. Goal is 400 members by 2013.
  • Members receive regional coverage through Chamber contacts with the County Tourism Development Authority.
  • By promoting the Swannanoa Valley, the Chamber brings many new prospective customers to the area (over 30,000 people visit the Chamber each year)
  • Many members receive exposure in local media through coverage of the multitude of Chamber activities.
  • The Chamber weekly E-newsletter keeps members informed of important local business activities and issues

The Chamber welcomes your insight and input for future ways to serve your business and the community.
