Locations and hours of operation are available by dialing (828) 210-2121 or visiting The board-certified physicians at not-for-profit, local Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care facilities provide care of non-life threatening illnesses and injuries, without an appointment, at a fraction of the time and cost of an emergency room visit. The West and South Asheville locations are open 7 days a week, 362 days a year, with extended hours at the 1201 Patton Avenue site (West and South are only closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). Annually Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care (SOMUC) gives back through volunteerism and the provision of more than a $1/2 million dollars in charity care. Medical teams to Haiti treat 4,000 patients and provide more than $300,000 in aid each year.
