St. James Episcopal Church is a a house of prayer and contemplation, a community of seekers grounded in the teachings of Jesus, a progressive fellowship affirming and celebrating the inherent goodness of creation, which extends to all people.
The aim of the spiritual life is union with the Divine. At St. James we draw from the whole of our lives—body, mind, and spirit, as we navigate the sacred journey. Our common life is centered in the Holy Eucharist shared around a sacred table inclusive of everyone. The parish has an abiding tradition of prayer and anointing, contemplative practices, and the work of social justice.
